Work With Me

Helping you lead with courage, compassion and influence

Leadership can be so rewarding. It can also be incredibly demanding and very isolating.

Leadership often looks very different from the inside than it does from the outside.

The more responsibility you have, the fewer opportunities there can be to think out loud, explore challenges openly or admit that you’re not quite sure what the next step should be. You’re expected to navigate complexity, make difficult decisions, influence others and support your team – all while protecting your own wellbeing.

I understand that well because it’s also my experience.

As a Chief Executive, accredited executive coach and former mental health nurse, I’ve spent my career leading in complex, high-pressure environments where decisions affect organisations, communities and people’s lives. I’ve worked at the intersection of leadership, policy, politics, media and public scrutiny, supporting change both nationally and internationally.

Coaching offers something many leaders rarely have: protected space to think.

It’s a confidential partnership where you can step back from the day-to-day demands, make sense of the challenges you’re facing, strengthen your confidence and leadership, and develop an approach that feels authentic, sustainable and true to your values.

These roles bring enormous privilege, but they also bring responsibility. You’re balancing competing priorities, limited resources, organisational politics, stakeholder relationships and increasing expectations, while never losing sight of the people at the heart of the work.

That’s why my coaching isn’t just about becoming a better leader.

It’s about helping you lead well, develop others and sustain yourself while doing work that matters.

You might be…

  • Stepping into your first senior leadership or executive role and wondering whether you’re doing enough.
  • Leading through uncertainty, organisational change or significant growth.
  • Feeling overwhelmed by competing priorities and struggling to find time to think strategically.
  • Carrying the weight of difficult decisions and finding it hard to switch off.
  • Navigating complex relationships with boards, funders, politicians, partners or stakeholders.
  • Managing scrutiny, challenging conversations or high-profile issues.
  • Wanting to influence more effectively while remaining authentic to your values.
  • Looking to develop a coaching style of leadership that empowers rather than directs.
  • Supporting your team’s wellbeing whilst neglecting your own.
  • Looking for a trusted thinking partner who understands the realities of executive leadership.
  • Feeling successful on the outside, but recognising that leadership has become harder than you expected.
  • Wanting to reconnect with the purpose that brought you into leadership in the first place.

Coaching can create the space to…

  • Lead with greater confidence, courage and authenticity.
  • Think more clearly when navigating complexity and uncertainty.
  • Make decisions with greater confidence and less self-doubt.
  • Strengthen your influence with teams, boards and stakeholders.
  • Develop practical strategies for handling difficult conversations and challenging situations.
  • Build high-performing teams where people feel trusted, supported and empowered.
  • Develop your own coaching approach to leadership.
  • Protect your wellbeing whilst sustaining high performance.
  • Create healthier boundaries without compromising your impact.
  • Reconnect with your purpose and the leader you want to become.
  • Develop skills to become your own self-coach.

And, most importantly, focus on what matters most to you, at your pace and in line with your goals.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do.

It’s to create the space where you can think differently, challenge your assumptions, recognise your strengths and discover solutions that work for you.

Sometimes that means asking difficult questions. Sometimes it means offering challenge. Sometimes it means simply giving you permission to pause.

Because great leadership isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about having the courage to lead authentically, the compassion to bring people with you, and the influence to create meaningful change.

Louise
Director

“I received leadership coaching from Kirsten and can honestly say it has been a genuinely valuable experience.

Kirsten’s approach, patience and experience allowed me time and space to reflect on my leadership style, build confidence in my own abilities and consider how I can continue to use the skills to develop as a leader in the future.

The coaching helped me to pause, think and approach challenges with a different perspective as well as having given me practical tools that I can apply day-to-day in my role.

I found the sessions with Kirsten to be supportive, constructive and thought-provoking. I was allowed the time to consider my thoughts, previous actions and current plans without having opinions provided for me.

Lynn

☕ Cuppa and a Chat

Thinking about coaching but not quite sure what to expect or want to make sure we’re the right fit?

Let’s start with a cuppa.

This is a complimentary, no-obligation 30-minute conversation where we’ll get to know each other. I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you have about coaching, and you’ll have the opportunity to tell me a little about what’s brought you here and what you’re hoping to achieve.

There’s no pressure to commit. Sometimes people leave knowing coaching is exactly what they need. Sometimes they realise it’s not – and that’s absolutely okay too.

As a former mental health nurse, I’ve always believed that some of life’s most meaningful conversations begin with a cup of tea. It turns out coaching often starts the same way…
